Fibre to the Home Council Europe (FTTH Council Europe) become a supporting organization of Southeast Europe Business Forum (SEEBF).

The event will take place in Istanbul Congress Center on 22-23 November 2012. The purpose of the forum is to encourage the business networking among the companies in Southeast Europe. SEEBF is a joint initiative of key institutions from the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Turkey.

FTTH Council Europe’s Communications Director Ms Nadia Babaali will take part as a speaker in the Session Latest development in e-Government services, Broad Band Access, ICT Infrastructure and Social Media as a Factor for Fostering the Business in the Region. The best regulatory framework, latest technologies for data collection, processing and storage as well as broadband Internet access rollout are some of the topics to be discussed during this session. Among the confirmed speakers are Mr. Ivaylo Moskovski, Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of Bulgaria; Ms. Megan Richards, Director for Coordination, DG Connect, European Commission; Mr. Veselin Bozhkov, Chairman of Communications Regulation Commission of Bulgaria; Mr. Robert Ordanoski, Director of Agency for Electronic Communications of FYROM; Mr. Zoran Sekulic, CEO of Agency for Electronic Communication and Postal Services of Montenegro.

The FTTH Council Europe is one of the leading industry organizations whose mission is to accelerate the availability of fibre-based, ultra-high-speed access networks for the benefit of consumers and businesses.

Created in 2004 by five founding members: Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Corning, Emtelle and OFS, the FTTH Council Europe now has more than 150 members and a contracted team working to promote the benefits of fibre access across the continent.

The members of the council are mostly organizations deploying FTTH, and manufacturers of FTTH solutions.
